Studentu iespaidi par konferenci "Aktuāli jautājumi tulkojumzinātnē"

Šā gada 20. maijā notika 2. pētnieku un studentu konference "Aktuāli jautājumi tulkojumzinātnē". Konferencē tika aplūkoti dažādi aktuāli jautājumi tulkošanas nozarē, piemēram, medicīnas terminoloģija, tulkošana tiesā, kā arī problēmas tulkojot  svešvalodā. Konferencē bija arī divi referāti par vieglo valodu - tā ir tekstu pielāgošana cilvēkiem ar uztveres traucējumiem -, referenti salīdzināja tās attīstību un izplatību Vācijā un Latvijā. Referāti tika lasīti angļu, latviešu, franču un krievu valodā, tādējādi klausītāji varēja ne tikai uzzināt kaut ko jaunu, bet arī atsvaidzināt svešvalodu zināšanas. Konference bija ļoti interesanta un noderīga, un ceram, ka nākamgad zinātniskajos lasījumos piedalīsies lielāks pulks nozares profesionāļu un studentu. Konferences tēžu krājums Fotogalerija The Second Researchers' and Students' Conference “Current Issues in Translation Studies” was held on 20 May in Riga. The discussion was devoted to several topical issues in translation: medical terminology, translating for courts and problems of translating in a foreign language. Also, two research papers on Plain Language – the adjustment of texts for people with mental disabilities – were read and the speakers compared its development and spread in Germany and Latvia. The papers were read in English, Latvian, French and Russian, allowing the audience to not only find out something new but also refresh their foreign language knowledge. The conference was very interesting and highly valuable and we hope that the next conference will gather more participants – professionals and students alike. Conference photos
